The Little Theater that Could

There is a great little theater in Orem, Ut, named the Hale Center Theater (HCTO). Pretty much every time I visit my parents, they let me tag along on their date night to see a play. Last February when I was here, my grandpa came with us as my "date" to She Loves Me. It was so cute! It's the same story as The Shop Around the Corner with Jimmy Stewart, but in musical form.

Tonight my "date" was my fantastic aunt, Kathy! We saw the musical, Little Women. It was so well-done - funny and sweet, yet touching in the right spots. Kathy was fun to sit next to. She professed her love of Little Women the novel and says she has read it at least 15 times. Each time - including tonight - she wishes Jo would end up with Laurie.

My Aunt Kathy loves to have FUN. I love to hear her laugh. She doesn't give pity laughs, but laughs readily and genuinely every time. She enjoys even my dad's jokes! (just kidding, Dad!)

My dad figured tonight that our family has been going to see plays at the HCTO pretty much since we moved to Provo in the latter half of the 80's. The productions are only getting better, and are always enjoyable. Check it out if you are in Utah Valley and want to have a fun night - a mini-vacation "from your problems" if you will. (and I needed a mini-vacation today after having had a little filling at the dentist today!)
